I realized I do this weird thing sometimes...
where if I am talking to someone (especially if it’s texting or instant messaging) and they are really annoying me, just with bad grammar or being generally uneducated, that I will elevate my language and speaking to sound smarter and well put together, just because I enjoy confusing them. Especially if I use words like superfluous.
